It was great to be a part of Donna and James's wedding recently. I played 'Canon in D' for Donna's bridal entrance at the church ceremony. Alongside Michelle, a great local pianist, I played hymns and Purcell's 'Trumpet in D' for their wedding exit. At The Four Seasons, Carlingford, I then played background music during their meal. In between the courses and after the dinner I played well known classics, pop and some Irish/folk songs.
There were some great singers amongst the guests, when I joined them at the tables to play. The bride looked unbelievable in her dress, which had beautiful diamantés around the waist & neck and a stunning full skirt. Thank you to Donna and James for inviting me to play and congratulations on your recent marriage! Photos to follow!
In June, I thoroughly enjoyed playing over Noeleen & Philip's wedding meal atHotel Kilmore, Co Cavan. The bride looked so beautiful and pretty. She had the most stunning dress and flowing wedding veil. Congratulations to Noeleen and Philip and a big thank you for having me to play on your special day. The wedding party and guests were great fun to play for.

The next 7 months are filled with wedding meal bookings, ceremonies and drinks receptions all over the north and south of Ireland. I'm looking forward to meeting and playing for the couples and at different events.
2015 will soon be filled. 2016 is filling up fast and bookings have already been taken for weddings in 2017.
I recently played at two beautiful weddings. I will post more photos soon. Both brides looked so beautiful. Their dresses were jaw-droppingly stunning.
I played at the church service before playing at the drinks reception in The Templeton Hotel. 'Songbird sings'-(Deborah) was singing also at the wedding and has such a beautiful voice. She sang hymns and 2 pop songs. I played as guests arrived and played 'Marry you' as the bride and groom left as a married couple. It was alovely service. The bride looked so pretty and had the most amazing train on her wedding dress. The Templeton Hotel is beautiful venue and has great, friendly staff. I played lots of up-tempo modern pop and dance tracks mixed in with some well known classic songs. Thank you to Joanne & Andrew for inviting me to play and congratulations.
Congratulations to the lovely Joanne & Andrew on their recent marriage ?? ? ?. Joanne was a *:.☆ ???????? ☆:.* bride! ...
The Culloden Hotel, 5*, was the next wedding ceremony that I played at. It is such an amazing hotel, standing on the slopes of The Holywood Hills in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It overlooks Belfast Lough and is an idyllic setting for a wedding. See the Stena Line sailing past the back of my head ;D. It was so good that the rain stopped so that the bride and groom could get some photos outside this amazing wedding venue. The Culloden Hotel Lynsey looked absolutely stunning. Thank you to Lynsey and Gareth (Mr and Mrs McCausland) & congratulations! .
Thank you to the lovely couple, Lynsey & Gareth for having me play at their wedding ceremony at The Culloden Estate &...
Here are a few photos from the 'Growing something brilliant' event at Belfast Harbour Commissioners.
It was hosted by BBC Northern Ireland TV reporter & presenter, Mark Simpson.
I played at the champagne drinks reception as guests arrived and during the meal. I then played a few pieces after dinner, roaming around the tables. I was honoured to be invited to play by The Northern Ireland Chamber & throughly enjoyed the experience. Thank you to Focus Av for the sound.
I was invited to play at the wedding of Eamonn and Paul and it was one such an amazing evening.
I played on the stage throughout the dinner and did some walking around playing to pieces like 'Human' by The Killers, 'Past the point of Rescue', 'Galway Girl' and others. Eamonn had requested lively music for during the meal. I emailed Eamonn and said that there are usually a few dancers amongst the guests when I am walking around playing. I maybe underestimated the number of guests who would be dancing :D I played after the starter/ in between courses and the video below was of my own instrumental version of 'Human' by The Killers.
Thank you David for the video from your phone as it really captures the atmosphere of Paul and Eamonn's wedding. Eamonn, Paul and the guests were on top form and full of energy! They certainly know how to enjoy themselves! http://youtu.be/VGcx2ccGWIk
After the desserts I continued to play upbeat pop and dance covers with the odd Irish tune thrown in. I was playing on the dance floor surrounded by Eamonn, Paul and the guests. I finished with 'Lord of the Dance' and 'Time to say Goodbye' and was so pleased that there were so many guests up dancing and enjoying the music. I really fed of everyones' energy and they were an amazing group of people! The evening band were fantastic, 'Fraggle Rock', a Galway based wedding band. Fraggle Rock Galway wedding band
Thank you Eamonn and Paul for inviting me to play at your wedding. Congratulations and best wishes for your future together. Thank you also to the staff at Trim Castle, Co. Meath, Eire. It is a beautiful hotel to stay in. I had a room with a view of the castle ruins. The castle was actually the one from the film 'Braveheart'.
It's coming up to a busy time with the end of 2014 taking place this week.
I have more bookings for drinks receptions at weddings and another for playing over and after a wedding meal at Trim Castle in Eire.
I am looking forward to playing at the weddings. Playing over, during and after the wedding meal is extremely popular. There is usually a bit of a lull after wedding meals and this bridges the gap perfectly. I choose different songs for each wedding and it enhances the atmosphere greatly, bringing fun and life to the end of the meal. Photos to come soon from the beautiful weddings at Ballymascanlon House Hotel, Knockranny House Hotel in Westport and a corporate Christmas drinks reception in The Penthouse Suite, The Europa Hotel, Belfast.
Here is a clip from many years ago about our brief appearance as a band in Demi Moore's film, 'Half Light'. It was a 'blink and you'll miss it' clip but we enjoyed the experience and it was nice to meet the ever-youthful Demi :)
In September I played at a Filipino 18th birthday party for the stunning Shaira. It was the most amazing party I have ever been to. It is such a beautiful culture. It was so extravagant and so much work went into the preparation of the party by Shaira's family, friends and herself. There were many dances by Shaira and her family and also group dances by her friends. There was a fantastic Filipino duo who sang with guitar and keyboards. I played alongside them for a lovely song called 'Beautiful girl'. This was played during Shaira's grand entrance. She had a few stunning evening dresses with so much detail on them. I played a selection of pieces during the event and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being at a Filipino birthday party. The guests were dressed so beautifully. The cake was unbelievable and delicious ?.
I recently played at The Royal Ulster Academy Annual Arts exhibition at The Ulster Museum. It was sponsored by KPMG: http://www.kpmg.com/uk/en/pages/default.aspx . I was honoured to be asked. It was such a pleasure to play surrounded by the most amazing works of art, by well established and up-and-coming artists of Ireland. The evening was a preview for the KPMG clients and I played whilst they viewed the art works. http://www.royalulsteracademy.org/annual-exhibition
I recently was asked to play a solo set at Lisburn Culture Night at The Wallace in Lisburn. It was a lovely evening. The Wallace is a restaurant and pub and it has a beautiful interior. The staff and food are great. I played whilst people were eating their meals and really enjoyed it. I hope to play there again soon.
A couple of weeks ago I played at Helen and Ronald's wedding in Portrush Town Hall, Northern Ireland. Helen was such an elegant and stunning bride. Her dress had so much gorgeous detail. Her flowers were so pretty and her bridesmaids looked so chic in their long navy dresses.
I recently played at the church ceremony of Naomi and Gerard's wedding in St. Patrick's church, Ballygalget, Northern Ireland. It was a pleasure to be invited to play at their wedding. During the ceremony Naomi and Gerard also had four fantastic female singers. They sang hymns in their own four part arrangements. The sound was fantastic. The wedding car and flowers were beautiful!
I also played at the drinks reception for Naomi and Gerard's wedding at The Saltwater Brig, which is a gorgeous pub near Newtownards. Here is a little clip from the wedding reception. This is my own interpretation of 'Somewhere only we know' by Keane. I play an acoustic version also without the drum backing which is appropriate for quieter events.
I played a background set and during the meal of a wedding last week in Athlone. I also joined in with Colin Fahy's sung version of 'Perfect day' during the bride and groom's exit. The weather was beautiful. Wineport lodge is such a wonderful hotel and restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed playing at Marie and Ed's wedding. The gorgeous blonde bride's dress was beautiful with a v neck and the prettiest bow on the front. It was a fabulous day :). Playing under the trees in front of the water where I watched dragon-flies flutter by :D
